TATTOO & ACNE SCAR REMOVAL
What does the PicoSure Treat?
· Unwanted Tattoos of all colors
· Pigmented lesions
· Brown spots
· Freckles
· Melasma
· Sun damage
· Wrinkles and fine lines
· Acne scars
How does it work?
PicoSure Focus laser skin revitalization is a non-invasive way to repair the layers of photo-damage in the skin. This includes unwanted tattoos, age spots, freckles, sun damage, pigmented lesions, fine lines and wrinkles or acne scars. This treatment may also be used to treat other areas on the body, including the décolleté, face, legs, knees, and hands.
PicoSure is an FDA-approved aesthetic picosecond laser for all skin types, and is the first of its kind. Traditional lasers (fractionated CO2, IPL, Fraxel and nanosecond devices), rely solely on concentrated heat energy, which causes patient discomfort and substantial skin redness, swelling and downtime, and are not approved for all skin types. PicoSure technology gently delivers short bursts of focused light energy to target problem areas. PicoSure uses pressure instead of heat to penetrate target areas and achieve the desired result. This gentler approach provides amazing results, without the discomfort and downtime associated with traditional, heat-based lasers.
PicoSure is a fast and easy non-surgical, non-invasive laser skin treatment with great results.
How is PicoSure different from other laser resurfacing (such as Fraxel) for skin rejuvenation?
Traditional lasers can be a highly successful way to achieve a younger look. However, they do require some recovery. PicoSure, on the other hand, uses faster pulses of light energy to break-up pigment in the skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production. PicoSure requires minimal downtime and is FDA-approved aesthetic laser for all skin types.
What should I expect during treatment?
The treatment takes 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area.
· First we remove make-up and clean the treatment area
· A mild numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort
· Protective lens are provided to protect your eyes during the laser treatment
· Treatment is performed
· Cold pack and/or Aloe Vera gel is provided after the treatment for comfort
Although you will see improvements after one treatment, we recommend three skin revitalization sessions with PicoSure to help you achieve the best results possible.
Tatoo removal may require more than 3 sessions depending on size, color, and age of tattoo.
What skin types does this technology treat?
PicoSure is FDA-approved aesthetic laser for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI). This technology will help all candidates safely and effectively remove unwanted pigment on their face and body.
Can I get PicoSure Focus Skin Revitalization treatment in the summer?
YES! This innovative technology makes it a safe treatment during summer, while all other lasers (including IPL) should be avoided due to increased risk for solar skin damage in the summer months.
How long does the result last?
The longevity of results from your treatment will depend on the skin issue that is treated. Patients treated for hyperpigmentation or acne scars will typically experience long-term results. However, new scars or melanin clusters can develop in the future. In treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, the longevity of the results is improved with proper sun protection. While the results remain, the natural aging process will continue to take place. For tattoo removal, once the tattoo pigment has been removed via the lymphatic system, it will not return unless you get a new tattoo.
