Christina ("Chrissy") Scavo, FNP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She also holds a Board Certification in Cosmetic Injections and Anti-Aging Services through the American Academy of Procedural Medicine (AAOPM). With over 8 years of experience in the fields of anti-aging, wellness, and aesthetic medicine, Chrissy is the founder and owner of Nu Med, a premier medical aesthetics and wellness practice with locations in Garden City and Merrick, NY. Chrissy is dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best. She is also an Aesthetic Trainer through Nu Med Academy, where she educates and mentors medical professionals in advanced aesthetic injection techniques and best practices. Known for her expertise in facial balancing and delivering natural, refreshed results, Chrissy believes that the most successful treatments enhance each patient's unique features rather than alter their appearance. She specializes in creating personalized treatment plans that combine aesthetic injections with anti-aging and wellness therapies to achieve comprehensive, long-lasting results, without negating the importance of overall health and wellness. Chrissy is passionate about helping patients reach their individual goals through a holistic, evidence-based approach. Patty Piedra

Director of Operations & Strategic Growth

Patricia Piedra is the Director of Operations & Strategic Growth at Nu Med, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in operations, business development, marketing, and organizational growth. Throughout her career, she has focused on building high-performing teams, creating scalable systems, strengthening customer experiences, and developing strategies that drive sustainable business growth. Prior to joining Nu Med, Patricia served in operations leadership at Whole Foods Market, where she led teams of up to 250 employees across multiple departments and managed more than $1 million in weekly sales. Her experience overseeing complex, high-volume operations shaped her ability to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, develop strong leaders, and translate strategy into measurable results. Patricia earned her Executive MBA from Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business, with a focus in Marketing, Finance, and International Business. She was also inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, recognizing academic excellence in business education. At Nu Med, Patricia leads initiatives across operational strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, marketing performance, team development, and patient experience. Her focus is on building the systems and strategies that support Nu Med’s continued growth while preserving the personalized, high-quality experience that defines the brand.

Vivian Atsalas

Practice Manager

Vivian is a graduate of Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. Bringing over a decade of experience in healthcare administration and business management. Her expertise spans patient relations, practice operations, scheduling coordination, and administrative leadership. Known for her professionalism, efficiency, and calm demeanor, Vivian is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting the seamless daily operations of our Nu Med team. She takes pride in building meaningful relationships with patients and ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of the practice.

Lyndsey Bayon​

Lyndsey is a Board certified nurse practitioner and experienced certified aesthetic injector. Lyndsey is passionate about helping her patients look and feel their best through a customized treatment plan. Lyndsey loves to combine multiple treatments such as lasers, toxin, filler and PDO threads to achieve natural and lasting results. Lyndsey’s favorite procedures are toxin injections and lip filler. ​

Audrey Sidrane

Family Nurse Practitioner

Audrey is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a diverse nursing background, having worked in pediatrics, ICU, and surgery over a five-year period. After earning a Master’s degree in 2021, Audrey began her NP career in urgent care before transitioning to the aesthetic field as a nurse injector.

Now, with over 5 years of experience injecting Audrey is committed to helping clients feel their best by enhancing their natural beauty and boosting their confidence. Beyond aesthetic treatments including Botox, bio-stimulators, dermal filler, and lasers, Audrey has a deep passion for wellness, particularly with GLP-1 medications and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Madeline Ortiz

Physician Assistant

With 6 years of experience injecting as a Physician Assistant, Madeline brings a deep, multidisciplinary clinical background to Nu Med. Throughout her career, she has practiced in primary care, dermatology, vascular medicine, and aesthetics, gaining a comprehensive understanding of patient health and skin physiology.
It was in aesthetic medicine that she discovered her true passion. Blending a love for anatomy with her artistic eye, she is dedicated to helping patients feel confident and radiant in their skin. Her personal journey with acne and rosacea inspires her individualized approach to skincare, ensuring every treatment plan is tailored with empathy and precision. Known for her technique and patient-centered care, she prioritizes aesthetic excellence.

Victoria is a NYS Registered Nurse and certified aesthetic injector with a deep passion for aesthetics and wellness. Her background in Plastic Surgery provides valuable experience in facial aesthetics and cosmetic procedures, helping to shape her thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to patient care. As she pursues her Nurse Practitioner education, she remains committed to advancing her knowledge through ongoing training and continued education in aesthetic and integrative medicine. Victoria values the connection between overall wellness and confidence, taking a holistic approach to patient care. She is dedicated to providing a personalized, thoughtful experience tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. 

Sabrina Atsalas

​Sabrina is a NYS Registered Nurse who graduated from Long Island University Post with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Her journey at Nu Med began years ago at the front desk, where she gained valuable experience in patient care, aesthetics, and integrative wellness. It was this experience that lead to Sabrina’s interest in this space.

Tiffany is knowledgeable in a wide range of skin care as well as body treatments and is always up-to-date on the latest trends and products.

My name is Ashley and I am a Licensed Esthetician. In 2023 I decided to go back to school and become an esthetician after realizing that my love for skincare really has grown over the years. I was truly obsessed with learning about our bodies largest organ and how to take care of it! I took my Hospitality degree and 15 years of customer service experience and put it into the work I do now, which is to make clients feel special and comfortable. I love when clients tell me they fell asleep during their facial massage because they felt so relaxed. It really is the most rewarding feeling being able to provide such serenity for a client while also getting to see them leave with the perfect glow!

Marlayna Augusto

Patient Care Coordinator

Marlayna Augusto joins our front office staff after having spent 12 years in brand marketing and marketing operations. Marlayna holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Fordham University and has long cultivated a passion for skincare and wellness. Since obtaining her Esthetics License in 2024, she has pursued advanced clinical trainings and spa management education in order to build a more holistic approach to client services. Marlayna brings a genuine passion for skincare treatments from facials to advanced therapies, focusing on enhanced skin health and overall wellness. She is dedicated to providing exceptional service to NuMed’s clientele.

Amelia Atsalas

Amelia is a Patient Care Coordinator at Nu Med who is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive experience for every patient. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Pace University and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their aesthetic and wellness journey. As one of the first friendly faces patients meet, Amelia strives to make every visit seamless, personalized, and enjoyable. From assisting with scheduling and answering questions to providing ongoing support throughout each patient's experience, she takes pride in building genuine relationships and delivering exceptional customer service. Known for her reliability, and compassionate nature, Amelia is an integral part of the Nu Med team. She works closely with both patients and providers to foster an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment where every patient feels valued, supported, and cared for from their very first visit.

Emma Feldman

Patient Care Coordinator

Emma is a Patient Care Coordinator at Nu Med and is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient. As one of the first faces you'll see, she helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and excited throughout their aesthetic journey.

A graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Biological Sciences, Emma is currently in the dental school application process and plans to pursue a career in dentistry. Her experiences in healthcare and customer service have taught her the importance of building genuine connections and making every person feel heard and valued.
